Antique Caravaca Crucifix

A striking antique Caravaca crucifix, rich in symbolism and devotional character.

This traditional double-bar cross features a finely cast figure of Christ, with additional decorative elements including small angel figures and distinctive shaped terminals. Traces of red fabric remain visible within the pierced sections of the cross, adding depth and a sense of age to the piece.

The reverse shows further detailing, typical of Caravaca crosses, which were historically worn for protection and devotion.

The crucifix is fitted with a suspension loop and retains what appears to be its original cord, allowing it to be worn or displayed.
