Early 1900s French Mother of Pearl Rosary | Hallmarked Silver
A beautiful antique early 1900s French rosary with luminous mother of pearl beads and hallmarked silver.
The rosary has the traditional 59 beads, with larger silver-capped Pater beads and smaller Ave beads linked by delicate silver chain. It leads to a silver heart-shaped centrepiece decorated with anchor motifs and a beautiful large mother of pearl crucifix with silver corpus and wonderfully ornate finials.
Both the crucifix and the centrepiece are hallmarked, and all pertinent parts are silver. The mother of pearl has a soft natural glow and catches the light beautifully, while the silver-capped Pater beads add both quality and elegance.
A gentle and devotional piece, lovely for prayer, collection, display, or as a meaningful religious keepsake.
Condition is good antique condition with gentle age-related wear and a soft devotional patina consistent with age and careful use. The rosary remains complete, strong, and displays beautifully.
