A beautiful antique French rosary made with genuine hand-cut mother-of-pearl beads and a striking heart-shaped mother-of-pearl centrepiece. All pertinent parts are silver, including the links, silver-capped pater beads, and finely detailed silver corpus.

Rosaries of this type with large beads are becoming more rare and are often special commissioned pieces.

The rosary is formed from softly luminous round mother-of-pearl beads displaying the natural variations in colour and iridescence that make mother of pearl so desirable. The larger pater beads are fitted with attractive silver caps that complement the beads beautifully and add to the quality of the piece.

Particularly attractive is the unusual heart-shaped mother-of-pearl centrepiece, which catches the light beautifully and gives the rosary a distinctive character. The crucifix is crafted from mother of pearl and mounted with a finely detailed silver corpus. A French silver hallmark is present on one of the silver links.
