A beautiful French bronze crucifix by Hartmann, dating from the mid-20th century and signed "HARTMANN BRONZE" on the side of the cross.

This lovely devotional piece has a simple, elegant design that reflects the influence of the Art Deco period. The bronze corpus of Christ is finely detailed, with a graceful and peaceful expression that gives the crucifix a quiet presence.

The crucifix was produced by Hartmann, the French artistic partnership of Jacques Hartmann and Suzanne Laurens, whose religious bronzes became well known for their quality craftsmanship and distinctive style. Their work combined traditional Catholic imagery with the clean lines and artistic influences of the Art Deco era, creating devotional pieces that remain highly collectible today.

The warm bronze patina has developed beautifully over the years, highlighting the sculptural details and adding to its character. The original hanging cord remains in place, allowing it to be displayed on a wall straight away.

Whether displayed in a home, chapel, prayer corner, or religious collection, this crucifix is both meaningful and decorative, combining faith, artistry, and French craftsmanship.
