Antique French Christofle Silver & Glass Salts – Set of 6

A beautiful and increasingly uncommon set of six antique French table salts by Christofle, each retaining its original hallmarked silver top and Christofle-marked glass body.

The salts are crafted from elegant moulded glass with attractive fluted decoration and retain the quality and refinement for which Christofle became renowned. Each silver top screws securely into place and is hallmarked for silver, reflecting the high standard of craftsmanship associated with this celebrated French maker.

Complete matching sets such as this are becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly when all six pieces remain together and retain their original silver fittings. Their modest size makes them ideal individual table salts, while the combination of glass and silver creates an elegant appearance that would have graced a well-appointed dining table during the early twentieth century.

Whether displayed as part of a collection of French silver and tableware or returned to use on a dining table, this set offers both beauty and historical charm.

Condition is good antique condition with gentle age-related wear consistent with age and use. There is some light clouding and residue within the glass, likely from years of use as table salts. The hallmarked silver tops retain a lovely aged patina. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
