Antique French carved oak bread platter with a warm patina and wheat-sheaf decoration. It is inscribed “Donnez Nous Notre Pain Quotidien”, meaning “Give us this day our daily bread”, from the Lord’s Prayer.

“Lourdes” is etched on the underside, suggesting this may have been purchased as a pilgrimage souvenir. A charming piece for a French country kitchen or religious collection. Good condition.
