Antique WWI Trench Art Letter Openers – Burnhaupt Alsace 1916 & R.G. 1916

A fascinating pair of original First World War trench art letter openers dating from 1916, each handmade from wartime materials and engraved with personal inscriptions that have survived for more than a century.

The first example is fashioned from a brass cartridge case and engraved "R.G. 1916".
