Antique French Mother of Pearl Crucifix Hallmarked Silver Dated 1906

A beautiful antique French crucifix crafted from genuine mother of pearl and fitted with a silver corpus, silver mounts, and a silver suspension ring. The reverse is engraved with the initials MG and the date 10th June 1906, giving this devotional piece a wonderful sense of history and a direct connection to its original owner.

The cross displays the soft iridescence that makes mother of pearl so desirable, while the silver mounts are finished with attractive fleur-de-lys terminals, a design long associated with French religious art. The corpus is finely detailed and retains a lovely aged patina consistent with its age.
