Vintage English Lamb No. 1 Brass Blowlamp by John Shaw & Sons

A characterful vintage English brass petrol blowlamp, the Lamb No. 1, manufactured by John Shaw & Sons of Wolverhampton.

This compact ¼-pint model features an inclined burner, screw filler cap, dark slotted burner grip and an especially attractive cane-wrapped carrying handle. The brass tank is impressed with the Lamb No. 1 emblem, J.S. & S. and Made in England.

A fascinating example of British workshop history and a wonderfully decorative piece for an industrial interior, vintage tool collection or automobilia display.

It is in good vintage condition with an attractive aged patina. There are scratches, marks, tarnishing and general wear consistent with its age and former use. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.

The blowlamp has not been fuelled or pressure-tested by us. It is sold empty and strictly as a decorative collector’s item, not for use.
