History of Golf Desk Pen Holder – Original Book Works England
A characterful golf-themed desk stand by The Original Book Works, made in England and believed to date from the 1990s to early 2000s.
The stand features three vintage-style golf club heads, each identified on the front:
• Bulger Driver – Persimmon Wood, circa 1900
• Long Nosed Wood – Beech Wood, circa 1850
• Brasse – Persimmon Wood, circa 1920
The substantial base has a convincing stitched leather-effect finish and an integral groove for holding a pen. The piece appears to be made from moulded resin or a similar composite material, although its exact composition cannot be confirmed.
An unusual and practical desk accessory that would make a charming gift for a golfer, collector or admirer of traditional sporting memorabilia.
