Antique French Mother of Pearl Rosary with Marian Centre – Large Solid Silver Rosary

A beautiful and significant antique French rosary dating to the late 19th century, featuring large softly glowing mother of pearl beads and a finely carved mother of pearl crucifix.

This is a substantial rosary with solid silver fittings and traditional fishtail chain, giving it a lovely weight and presence in the hand. Although no hallmarks are visible, the materials and craftsmanship are consistent with antique French silver rosaries of the period.

The larger Pater beads are finished with ornate filigree caps, adding a delicate and refined touch often found on fine quality devotional pieces. The centrepiece carries a Marian monogram, while the beautifully carved crucifix is detailed on both sides with devotional imagery.

The mother of pearl beads catch the light beautifully and have a soft luminous glow that gives the rosary a calm and gentle devotional presence.
