Antique French Silver Mother of Pearl Rosary, Large 1800s Catholic Rosary, Marian Centre, Carved Crucifix, Devotional Antique

A beautiful antique French rosary dating from the late 1800s, made with softly glowing mother of pearl beads and a finely carved mother of pearl crucifix.

This is a large and impressive rosary with lovely presence and gentle age-related character. The beads are linked with solid silver chain. The larger Pater beads are finished with decorative silver fittings which add beautiful detail to the piece, while the ornate Marian centre adds beautiful detail to the rosary.

The carved mother of pearl crucifix shows slight staining near the lower section, consistent with age and devotional use over many years.

A meaningful antique devotional piece, suitable for prayer, collection, or display.

Condition is good antique condition with age-related wear and patina consistent with its age.

It measures approximately 22.5" long (57 cm) with a circumference of 31" (79 cm). The crucifix measures 2.25"H x 1.5"W (5.7 x 3.8 cm). The Pater beads measure approximately 8–9 mm and the Ave beads approximately 6–7 mm. As the beads are hand cut, they vary slightly in size and are not perfectly uniform.
