Antique French Wooden Butter Mold Press Primitive Folk Art Kitchen Tool

A charming antique French carved wooden butter mould, handmade with a simple floral and leaf design carved into the base.

Full of rustic farmhouse character, this lovely old piece has developed a wonderful warm patina over the years. The upper section lifts away from the base using the traditional wooden peg fastening. The carved design would originally have been used to decorate butter or soft cheese.

Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, circa 1880–1920, it makes a lovely decorative piece for a country kitchen, treen collection, or rustic French interior.

In good antique condition with age-related wear, marks, and natural imperfections consistent with long use. The wooden peg is present and removable as shown.

Measures approximately 9.75" wide x 3.75" deep x 1⅝" high (24.8 x 9.5 x 4.1 cm).
